Waning Crescent (Balsamic Moon):

Use: A time for rest, meditation, and preparation for the new moon. It’s also suitable for banishing negative energies or habits.
You can certainly perform spells outside of the corresponding moon cycle. I’ve performed binding spells during the waxing crescent moon, for instance. However, I used the energy of attracting new opportunities as the energetic need for the binding spell. So, you don’t have to wait for the right time of the moon cycle to perform your spells. Find a way to use the energy on hand to create the change you need.
